DOSTI believes in the holistic development of children in order to maximise their potential. Therefore, besides studies, the core part of our curriculum also includes many activities.
“Children are naturally creative. It is our job to give them the freedom, materials and space to let their creativity blossom to its full potential.” (Jean Van’t Hul). Not only helps to improve fine motor skills but also enhances creativity, communication skills and the ability to think out of the box. Children develop team spirit as they work together and socialise with each other, which in turn enhances their self-esteem and confidence.
To learn and develop patience, persistence, team spirit, and self-expression. Also helps them cultivate cognitive, emotional, and motor skills. Our children develop a good sense of rhythm and tune, and they have also formed an impressive choir which is integrated with our junior and senior choirs.
Improves physical strength, flexibility, and stamina, which helps them become more self-reliant in the long term. Dance also increases children’s hand-eye coordination, self-esteem, and confidence, which in turn makes them happy and stress-free. Our students’ dance performances are really a treat for the eyes!
Yoga takes care of the physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions of a human being. With regular practice of yoga, our children are able to perform many asanas easily, and they have even won prizes inside and outside the school in competitions. DOSTI alumnus Sahil Singh assists our yoga teacher.
Sports play a very important role in the overall development, especially personality-building, of children. Keeping this in mind, DOSTI exposes students to various sports like skating, boccia, shot put, and athletics, among others. Children are even trained for Paralympics and state and national-level sports events.
In our curriculum, swimming holds a special place. We place strong emphasis on the need for swimming classes with our well-trained swimming coaches for our students. Our swimming program is designed in such a manner that children not only enjoy the sport but gain the maximum benefits out of it.
